I like the old style Autopulse fuel pumps. I don't like the look of the round or square electronic units. I used to buy kits for the Autopulse pumps but can't find one any where now. Anybody know where I can get a diaphragm or kit for an Autopulse. I haven't opened one for a long time. Maybe the diaphragm is make-able...
The good ones have a copper diaphragm. It is not reproduced. Sent from my SM-G900T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
It looks like the really old ones have the copper or br*** bellows type. I'm pretty sure the newer ones 40's-70's had the rubber diaphragm. They must have made millions of them but It's weird that kits aren't out there even on ebay....
I bought one that came with a rebuild kit. Guess I was lucky. Don't know if I will ever use it but it sure looks cool.
You might try a Piper Aircraft parts supplier. I had a 1967 Piper Cherokee 180C back in the 80's that had an Autopulse 12V electric fuel pump as factory equipment. I recognized it from one that I had on my high school hot rod in the early 60's.
Could we discuss a little more on these types of "autopulse" pumps which i ***ume are different from other types of electric pumps?
I finally got to my shop to look at mine. The rebuild kit with mine that was purchased in 2010 was from Auto Performance Engineering 364 Pecan Ct. Nevada, Texas phone # 972-530-8729 Their website www .APEusa.com Don't know if they are still in business or not but they were in 2010
