Wife and I did the same thing on Long Island, Saturday. Temps in the 60s so we filled the Deuce roadster with gas and a shot of Sta-Bil gas treatment and took about a 100 mile cruise. Probably the last of the season, in the 30s today.

    Beautiful car!

Let's hope we can squeeze out a few more miles this fall though I just heard they got two feet of snow somewhere in Minn.

  10. A car to be proud of ... reflects on the owner.

Question - I'm not familiar with the Monarch except that they exist ... is that hood ornament original or ?Jag? And is your peep mirror round and/or factory?

  13. Me , I am going to keep driving the Dodge Polar till it snows here{which I doubt this year] or till they salt the roads here.Bruce.

Paul, The Hood Ornament Is Original (See Enclosed Photo), I really wanted to remove it to clean up the hood but could not as it is quite the conversation starter. The mirrors are round PEEP style. Thanks Larry

Spent part of last week giving my cars a few more runs before the snow comes. Last night we got our first measurable snow. Hopefully during the winter season we will also get some rain to wash the salt off the roads and I can enjoy cruising a little more before spring.

I plan to drive my Ford all winter as long as the roads are dry. This is why I made sure the heater works.

Roddin...I was out the same day...it was a super beauty of a day so me and the Missus went out...Probably the last as there is accumulation in the forecast and that means corrosive stuff on the roads but yeah it was a blast...Here is a bad case of Happy Stogy

You guys enjoy that "last drive before winter" while I get out the winter beater and enjoy my "first drive of the winter." I love having a winter-worthy antique I can drive when things get nasty. I had a blast in the Volvo today! Sadly, the Studebaker is put away for the winter's slumber.

I'll probably take the Merc out for a spin even after the snow comes. Nowhere near the salt covered highways of course.

We took the woody out for a picnic two weeks ago. Hoping for one more good drive before I put her up for the winter. [IMG]

I didn't get any photos of the last drive. But snow started flying and I snapped a picture of my sign. My Grandmother named the garage back in 1983 when the family moved in. My brother made the ceramic sign.

Yeah Stogy, a breakdown caused it. Lost transmission, had to pull engine and trans together to change it, got to thinking {which is a dangerous thing}, I want a Ford in there, now is the time to do it. You know, the snowball effect. Might as well put in the power steering I wanted, had to figure out some exhaust problems, just trying to do it all at once so I can ride when it's done. It's getting there slowly.

I did have a photo of the last good drive for the coupe. Took Mrs Binger out to the Bunkhouse Bar for a burger and a beer. It's only 15 miles out there but a fun drive anyway. There were several bikers and a couple who pedaled their bikes out there. There was also a German tourist that was fascinated with the genuine old west bar. Then two folks rode in on horses. Only in Wyoming!
