not Z-28/LT-1, or any other factory intake, no oil shield, or rivet holes to attach one...aftermarket intake.
Not GM, but I have no other idea as to what it is. The Z/28 or LT-1 would have a stamped steel oil shield covering the exhaust heat crossover. The runner shapes should be the clue, and at first I thought maybe an Edelbrock C4B with a modified plenum, or the C3B/C3BX variants but when I compared it to my C3BX the front runner in particular does not match. Early Weiand 4 bbl's had different runners and I think the Offenhauser was different too. Could it have been made by one of the aftermarket cylinder head manufacturers?
I think its a seventies era Weiand, but I am having trouble finding a photo. Looking at Jims photo, I am not so sure. Its not a Holley 300-36, I checked that. Offy never made a conventional dual plane single four for small-blocks. They did all that weird equa-flow and dual-port "stuff"(I was going to use a different "s" word...)
The pic I posted (google search found it on ebay) is probably an earlier version. the Stealth looks like a newer version.
A few hours on internet, I think it's a Weiand 7502. Why the letters are milled of I have no clue.. Anyone know if it's possible to flnd some specification somewhere, or is it the same as a newer "Stealth" maybe?!.. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Aaah sorry Falcongeorge, I was writing while you posted.. [emoji13] Yes looks almost the same just not around the thermostat housing. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Sure it's not a 'no-name' off-shore copy of some sort? Seems I recall there were a lot of no-name or 'house brand' intakes around for a while, most of them made off shore....
Yes, I agree, The 7502 is functionally the same intake as the 8016, but yes, I think you have a 7502, judging by where the letters are ground off.
Winner winner chicken dinner!!! Some of us dudes like a nice clean looking intake, I've shaved the letters off a Offy 4x2 intake, an Edelbrock C4B, and a Performer RPM so far. Just adds to that 'clean' look.
Yes, I agree. Thanks for the info everyone! [emoji1360] Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
