I just got the new Autoweek and there is a 2 page article on Detroit Autorama. The article doesn't say anything interesting, just a bunch of blather about the Ridler award and The Foose-like winners thereof. However, the first and largest picture in the article is of the Flint Nightmares display. It takes up nearly a half page. I used to read Autoweek for its serious and informed coverage of the auto industry and its byproducts. Now I see it has all gone to hell with photos of sketchy hoodlum car clubs. Time to renew my subscription. My scanner doesn't wanna work. If it comes around I'll post a pic.
That was a great club display and I'm glad to see it get some recognition. I'd like to say thanks to all of the Nightmares for there hospitality that weekend to all the HAMB folks that were invited to hang out and socialize.
Okay, I made the scanner work. One more triumph. Notice the foreground emblazoned "Kritz". What a celebrity.
Wow. I'm a rock star in a nerd magazine. I'll have to send Jenny to buy it so I don't blow my hot rod dude cover.
hey pete dad told me to let you know your not alone he was in the same mag back in 91 . you guys could start a club .the swollen nogins.
I've looked everywhere for this magazine and am unable to find it. Does anyone have an extra copy they are willing to part with? My brother informed me if your go to www.autoweek.com, click on the Autorama 2006 section, it's picture #20. The V12 car next to mine is clearly visible as is Jdubbya! That's right, He's a rock star, too!!
Congrats to Pete and the rest of the NightMares. Great looking display with AWESOME hospitality to go along with it. Congrats guys, well deserved.
Good God, I am gonna have to go into hiding, there is bound to be a line up of Autoweek Magazine Groupies at my door.
