Hey Guys, I am using a '48-'52 F1 front axle and leaf springs for my '47 Tudor g***er project. I have everything set up to use the stock shackles and rear hangers for the front springs but it turns out the pair of spring hangers I have are completely worn out. I have been searching everywhere for a different pair. Up until a while ago a number of Ford parts suppliers were still carrying these parts but it turns out that the company that was either making them or selling NOS parts is out of stock and is no longer offering them to anyone. However, in all of my searching I found a NOS pair for sale at The Old Car Centre in Langley, British Columbia. The problem is that because of some Department of Homeland Security bureaucracy/BS as a business they cannot sell them to me because they are in Canada and I am in the United States. Long story short... Is there a Hamber in the Langley area that would be willing to buy them for me and then ship them via USPS to me? I then in turn would either send you a postal money order or PayPal you for them. The hangers are $92 US for the pair and then I'm figuring $10 or $15 to ship them to me. If anyone would be able and willing to help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Drop me a PM if you are interested. Thanks in advance for any consideration. Thor
I find it hard to believe they cannot sell them to you because you are in the U.S. They may not want to because their may be a bunch of paper work involved in doing so depending on C.O.O. etc. Maybe try P.Ming @falcongeorge I believe he is in the lower mainland. Oh and you can at least triple your shipping estimate at a bare minimum.
I am having a health issue (temporary) that precludes driving, I agree. Hell I just bought a $450 order from Summit a couple days ago, these guys are feeding you a line of BS. There are a TON of HAMBers right in Langley, someone will chime in soon.
I can help you Thor1. PM me your cell and we'll work out the logistics. Dave Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I wanted to give everyone an update on this post from the other day. I would like give a big THANK YOU to ^^^this guy^^^ above me, HairyCanary, for helping a brother out. Dave and I connected via PM here and then by text a few times and he stopped and picked up the parts for me today and then sent them out to me today as well. Dave was very gracious and really went out of his way to help me out. Thank you again Dave, I really appreciate all that you did for me. This is a testament to the kind of guy that Dave is, but it is also a testament to this brotherhood that we call the HAMB. We've got something special here fellas! Thor
