Great ride man!! that thing is spot on perfect in my eye! the whole family can ride and enjoy it. That's why I love sedans, cause I can take my boys with me everywhere. Good job on that thing!

This is what it looked like when I first saw it at the Round Up in 2010.

Second pic is the first day when we unloaded it at the shop.

  4. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Bought a reproduction 283 decal to run on the air cleaner today. It was only $7 and it's the right color. Looks pretty cool so I think I'm just going to leave the engine as is for now.

looks great. love what your doing with it. and your work looks very good very straight very clean. And i love to see them with a full hood ad a v8. did you have to stretch it ?

  6. No. Not the hood. It's a stock reproduction I bought off eBay. The whole car is built off of eBay and out of a Speedway Motors catalogue.

I bought the ch***is as a pile of parts that someone else had tacked together and I paid the speed shop here to build it. The rails were stock dimension reproductions. So, I don't think they're stretched either.

I do know they set the engine forward a bit because there's no room for a mechanical fan. But, the good news is the distributor clears without a notch in the firewall which I really like.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Your doing an awesome job. I got my car from my grandpa almost a year ago now. At current its a stock engine and I have done a lot of fixing up to the stock stuff. But I have a 350sbc/350turbo out back that needs a crank kit I want to throw in and I want to put a speedway drop axle and discs up front but maintain the original outer look. this gives me a lot of inspiration. heres my car when i got it and now car.jpg

Car looks great in my opinion! For you guys that like '32 Ford 4-door sedans, here is one that is going up for sale at an on-line auction in Michigan. Says it came out of a museum in Missouri. Other than that not much info in the description but lots of pictures. auction date is 8-10-16 and starting bid is 5k with no reserve. Here is the link to the auction page! Never know...might go cheap!

  9. Neat car! You're crazy if you change the motor out though. That car is way to nice to mess with. Especially with the family history.

My car was a field find beater so there was only room for improvement. But, yours is too nice to hack on. I say find another car project to tinker with and Hot Rod.

  17. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Bought some of those billit license plate mounts that attach to the spreader bars off eBay. I just scuffed them up and painted them gloss black to knock the Street Rod vibe off.

I think they look OK and it solves the license plate mounting issue. Cell pics aren't great but you can get the idea.

Bought this magnetic battery powered LED light at a swap meet a few years ago and thought it would make a good dome light. It also doubles as a flash light.

Got the new door panels worked out. Bought a cheap bead roller from Harbor Freight and a sheet of aluminum and went to town.

They came out pretty good and make the car look more finished inside.

How is the front seat working out? Is it fully adjustable? I may look in to using one on my '29.

  20. Yes. It's on sliders and the back folds forward for rear access.

I may try to set it back another inch or so if I need the room for longer trips though.

  25. IMG_0972.JPG Thanks guys.

I'll have some on the road shots soon now that the weather is cooling off.

Here's my son AJ and his buddy Nicolo from school last weekend. On our way to grab a burger.

Snapped a couple quick picks before we put it back up.

What size tires are you running? Im gonna be building a 32 five window and love your car...looks really kewl...

  28. I think they're the 750 16 rear and 550 16 front in the Coker Cl***ic Radials. They balanced up good and all we do is run around town and stay in slow lane on the highway.

    Works for us.

    Thanks for the compliments.

I missed this the first few rounds, but great job on the build. Nice fun car and certainly no apologies needed. Enjoy the car and the fun times ahead.
