Technical Small Block T10 to 390...Will it Work

    Oops! I should have noticed the shift levers. You must have had some sticky tires and popped the clutch.

    I have a t10 out of a full size 63 or 64 ford.
    here are some dimensions; maybe they will help
    All measured from ****** front mounting plate: 4" to end of bearing cover; 5 3/8" to end of spline; 6 1/4" to front tip of shaft; 13 1/4" to rear ****** mount; 27" to end of tailshaft. I hope this helps
    btw, Ive been running the same t10 in 2 different 57 fords with 332 and 390's since 1969 with no failure yet. I did have the popping out of gear problem. Replaced 3rd gear and all syncros and haven't had the problem since.
     
  3. My '63 Galaxie 427 came new with a T-10 and it was still intact when I sold the car. Didn't baby it, but didn't abuse it either.

    Opened it up last night. Looks pretty healthy. Nothing chewed up.

    Yeah, Wes added me to the fanatics group. My name is Drew Pojedinec.... just msg me there if you need anything else. I don't do much with manual transmissions tho.... but if you need to build that c6, i've done many.
