Technical Ampco oilers on '62 v8

I know it doesn't need it but I thought about adding a Ampco oiler to my car. I know these were made for flatheads but thought it would be a cool addition to my car what do you guys think it's a '62 mercury with 221 v8.what are your guys thoughts??

Here is a screenshot of there website figured 60 bucks why not if anything a good conversation piece at shows not to mention I love marvel mystery oil!!! Seems like a win win

Anybody want to walk through the process on what these things do for me? Adds MMO under the carb?

 

Your right it basically adds a fine mist of MMO through a plate in between the carb and intake

It basically adds it directly into the induction system without diluting it in the gas

Good to prevent sticky valves. I mean ya could do the same thing by pouring a bit in the gas tank. I think it's 4oz to 10 gallons. How often does the Ampco need refilling, is the rate adjustable?

I looked at the eBay listings, they want $45, almost grabbed me, tho + $13 shipping. I'm not poor but I'm holding out, hate to spend that much on sumthin' like that.

 

I think it's lame.

 

I have a vintage NOS Allstate oiler in OEM box for a conversation piece along with other pieces. When they installed propane (LPG) on my daily driver many years ago they added a similar top end oiler kit. I've never topped it up and yes they are adjustable,
