Good to prevent sticky valves. I mean ya could do the same thing by pouring a bit in the gas tank. I think it's 4oz to 10 gallons. How often does the Ampco need refilling, is the rate adjustable? I looked at the eBay listings, they want $45, almost grabbed me, tho + $13 shipping. I'm not poor but I'm holding out, hate to spend that much on sumthin' like that.
I have a vintage NOS Allstate oiler in OEM box for a conversation piece along with other pieces. When they installed propane (LPG) on my daily driver many years ago they added a similar top end oiler kit. I've never topped it up and yes they are adjustable,
