Art & Inspiration made a historical find

picked this up a auction when helping my buddy pick up all of his stuff, this what i chose for helping him,

pulled right from the loft of the building that used be the wood/spencer plant on east 61st, it used to hang in there lobby.

picked it up cause i thought it would look cool, a google search about the wood & spencer company produced a copy of the "automotive trade directory" from 1922 came up with a adverti*****t from the about there "castle nuts"

it is heavy, and the black velvet very delicate , but i will wait before i replace it

Seriously,that is a lot of different sizes,are some metric? HRP

 

Pretty neat! I like the way they designed that and I also think the torn backing gives it some character and lets you know its not a newly done piece of artwork.

 

I'd go nuts over a wall hanging like that......
