so I got this '29 model a pick up that supposedly was built years ago then put into long term storage before the builder died. I was told he had a sbc and 4 speed in it but as you can see in the pictures im changing that up. Anyways long story short I have been going through and trying to figure out what parts he used and now im down to figuring out the column. its a tilt column thats non collapsible with a weird cable operated switch mounted down low on the column itself. Its hooked to a 67-73 mustang box but doesnt look like its a mustang going by google image searches. any ideas? thumbnail_IMG_5761.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5754.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5755.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5764.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5763.jpg

  2. Early 60's GM tilt. Hard to find parts for. Tilt lever makes me think Olds are Buick.

  4. It does look GM, but if the key switch is in the column that would be 1969 first year.

  5. Looks similar to the '64 Buick tilt column I have. Same switch setup.
I have a wiring diagram for it somewhere...

one thing for sure, if it is GM from the 60's it is worth a bunch of money to the guy who has a car that it came from.

I believe it is for back up lights and neutral safety, Used with a column shift.
