Vintage shots from days gone by!

OK…. Anybody got an idea how they got that on or off the front lift and two rear A-frame type stands?

1963 Caddy concept. I've never seen this before, this thing is badass!

 

The drawer pull industry almost died when kustoms lost popularity.

 

Where ARE all the shots from the 60's? NOT modern tattoo'ed bimbos and ridiculous rat rods?

there used to be, in the ground, two post lifts that worked independent to each other with a lever for each piston. i would bet he put it up with both pistons then lowered the rear piston to get the arms out of the way.

Not sure on the true ownership but this roadster used both Olds and Cad power and driven by Don Rackman. Don past away last Friday. I knew him well and we spoke once a week. And no I never invested any money with him...that's why we were friends. He went into the Bonneville 200 MPH Club in 1958.

 

When the fellas that owned the Standard stations in town built their new one, they had one of the bays installed with a dual jack hoist and I was so jealous.

 

It's an all wheel drive Elkdorado?

It's probably the only way to get around in Portland right now. It's a horrible mess with no way to go anywhere.
I'm actually still at my office at work and I'm planning on spending the night instead of trying to go home which is over 30 miles one way.
