Help? Can anyone supply any info on this modified?

Guys

I am trying to find more information about the attached modified. According to the January 1973 R & C (Thanks Dr.) the car was built by Al Palamides in 1949. The tube frame was also served as the tail pipes. Does anyone have any more pictures or a feature article that could tell me more about the car?
