I'm building one right now, just a hot street motor with 1.94 valves gear drive timing, and solid lifters. what is a good cam, compression and and all around set up for one?

and where can i get pistons preferably with low enough dome height to run 64cc camel humps on pump gas

Or where can i find decent large chamber heads for this application

I know a few people that like the Comp 270s or 282s, both are solids and single pattern. I know that the 270 runs exceptionally well in 327s. The 282 might be a touch big. I know Speed pro makes Hyperutectic and forged 302 piston's that are dual valve relife flat tops, which should give you plenty of compression. What size exhaust are you gonna run? Oh, and ditch the gear drive unless it's a fixed idler type, true double rollers are the only way to go in a mild street engine.

I've never had any problem running stock 327s with flat top pistons and fuelie heads on pump gas--even though the advertised compression was 10.5, it's really around 9.7, and SBCs are quite resistant to detonation. A hotter than stock cam will lose some pressure at low RPM and help the situation further.
