It looks like Hirsch is about the only source for this color. Does anyone know different? And I did search... Thanks!
I went the Hirsh route, worked well. Then the engine came out again and I took a sample to Sherwin Williams and got a qt of high gloss enamel mixed up, sprayed with a preval, holding up very well. Plenty left over for brush touch ups. Sorry cant post pics.
I would take a valve cover or some other part to an automotive paint supply and have them match it in a straight enamel like uncle don did. KK
I also went the Hirsch Auto Route and the recommendation of another member here and have been really happy! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Can't argue with you Birdman! They are a bit pricy for sure! But it those results! Thanks although it's a Pontiac 461 I am shooting to get it 56 316 appearing as much as possible Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
"Only I didn’t say “Fudge.” I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the “F-dash-dash-dash” word!" I actually know of 2 '56 Ponchos with 316s, complete 3 on da tree setups. If a guy were interested, a friend could pull & ship the parts. price would be up to him.The gears are likely great too. Cars are located in central WI.
Two quarts may be too much. We used one to do both the engine and transmission on our 56. It is holding up well except as to be expected on the heads at the exhaust ports. All applied with a foam brush
