Haven't made it home from the holidays yet for me, the wife, and kids to exchange gifts. There's still hope for a bead roller yet. So far though of the gifts that matter my mom got me this

Larry's umpteen thousand posts will not go in vain.
Also unlike @paintslinger805 I will not take a maiden voyage or perform a first fire up with out proof.
Oh and Danny, this Northerner likes you too bud.

We are probably moving in a year or so, I will wait till then. Moving pianos sucks, and they almost always need to be re-tuned afterwards.

  5. Hard to beat an upright grand, that's what my grandma had. If you want any tips on buying a piano, shoot me a PM.

  9. Nothing hot rod related but some nice gifts still.
New plaid winter weight flannel shirt, 2 new pairs of corduroy pants, 2 packs of tidy whites, several Dunkin Donuts $25 gift cards and best of all a gift card for Bass Pro I'm going to put towards a new 9mm Walther pistol I've been wanting for several months.
Automotive stuff I did buy the week before Christmas on my own while shopping for others.
I bought a 24 volt 1/2 Drive Cordless Impact Gun and a 1/4 Drive 18 Volt Cordless Impact Gun and a load of new drill bits that I've wasted on the build of my wife's 32 roadster.
Also to go with wrenching on the roadster my son gave me an 8 pack of Angry Orchard that smooths over any rough times in the build.
Saw lots of family over two days and had a great holiday overall plus put away waaay tooo much food into my belly.
    Merry Christmas everyone![IMG]

This thing eats drill bits by the box full.

  10. On our list too. I also am waiting for the right one, because I only want to do it once and I once had an old one that wasn't tunable.

My mother-in-law is advising us, she worked for Wurlitzer in the 60's selling and setting up practice pianos in D.C.

She was once sent to a ritzy motel, where she set one up for Duke Ellington, he invited her to stay for awhile and she sat right there beside him on the bench for an hour or so playing, then some ice cream with vodka on it from room service. (One of my favorite stories, I'm a big fan of old jazz)

Closer to having our 56 Victoria's paint completed. Only the doors and all the interior painted trim are left. Waiting is the hardest part and we are not in a hurry IMG_0149.JPG IMG_0150.JPG . I'm sure my assembly will be a lot longer than it took to remove every thing. And to thing this started as a restored car where some paint bubbling began showing after 4 years.

  19. I got a new flannel shirt and a copper pot. Doesn't sound like much but I needed a new flannel shirt and if I don't like the pot it'll make a cool air cleaner.

  22. I got everyone else car stuff, I needed to spend some more $$ to get free shipping from Summit. So they all got t-shirts. I did get a nozzle for my VP gas can and a tool box organizer for my model car stuff and an xacto knife set.

I did find some Ford NOS fender ornaments when I cleaned the kitchen counter. The cats had a good day too.

A promise from our Son and Son in law to help me finish the electrical and sheetrock on my new garage. We'll see if that happens!
My Wife reminded me that the '32 is covering the next few years of gifts for all occasions!
    I can't argue with that.
Otherwise kisses and hugs from the Grand Children (nothing better than that!)

Spent most of the holidays throwing kleanix's in the fireplace.
Finally felt better yesterday and worked on the GMC bellhousing I got from Santa Ferguson for my engine test stand.
