NPW Mark 518 441 2260. They cut the driveshaft, clocked and re-splined it, it is an exact duplicate of the original end. The torque tube was sectioned. The weld speaks for itself. 1481072839137.jpg 1481072844580.jpg

Since the torque tube is short, I have to whack the radius rods too. I put my antique come-a-long to use. I pulled the rods in past the connection on the tube then released it, now they are very close. The bolt in the tube was killed so i had to drill it out.Cut and fit later today 1481717256665.jpg 1481717264626.jpg

I cut the ends off then pulled rods into position and zipped 'em up. I noticed there was no axle keys. Good thing I have a spare 1481765540235.jpg 1481765548324.jpg 1481765555335.jpg

In the foreground is the driveshaft I had cut. Very happy with the way it came out 1481766104358.jpg

Thanx Josh, I am having a blast piecing this together. Hopefully I can stay on schedule and have it ready for the beach!

NPW did a very nice job on your torque tube and shaft. How much did they cost you?

It cost a few scaffold builds and some insulation work. Call Mark, tell him Ron Wheeler sent ya, he will take care of you

I got my juice backing plates on then put the rear end back under, again. I then pulled the front spring out and ghetto reverse eyed it. 1482617378404.jpg

It sits pretty good I think. Mocked up windshield and hood/rad shell, got in and had a beer 1482617635363.jpg 1482617656316.jpg

This would only be half a car if it wasn't for Mike Bowling. Thanks Mike for all the parts and all the support

  22. I like the part about getting in and having a beer....I think we have all done that at some point in our builds.......I know I have.

I bet it would be hard to sit in that and not imagine driving it down the road.

Id have a hard time relating to a guy who hasn't sat in an unfinished build imagining his future. Drinking a beer too just shows me he gets it.
I love this project, keep it up.
