Does anyone know who owned the K&L speed shop in Detroit? Anybody involved with any of the cars they sponsored? Looking for info on a car I am currently restoring. Thank you
I don't know who owned it but I do remember the place. Weren't they on telegraph rd. south of warren rd?
Prior to the telegraph location they were on Grand River near Burt rd. Andy Mannarino frequented the place and had a couple of cars that were sponsored by them, if you check on facebook look up a group called Michigan Hot Rod, you will find several people that have some knowledge of that location.
grand river and burt road is correct i remember it from when i was a kid growing up in brightmoor i couldnt wait till i could go in there and build up a hot rod but by the time i got old enough to build a hot rod K&L speed shop had closed down so when it became my turn to build a hot rod i went and seen otis at redford speed shop on grand river just west of beach daily i got to know him and his co worker pretty well and now at 70 years old iam still working on my 32 ford 3 window coupe moror heads for ever i say lol
