This is cool. That's my father in a 1956 issue of Rodding and Restyling magazine. Here's a pic after he painted it in '57
Mark: I ship a great deal of old racing decals to Sweden, Denmark and Australia. There is a car magazine called "Gasoline Magazine" That is very popular in Denmark and Sweden that did a write up a while back on my business and after that I got real busy.
My father's 31 coupster from early 60s. East Coast channel, square roll bar. Dragged this in Miami, FL. Lost track of it many many years ago and still looking for it.
A few pics of the old man's 34, these must be late 60's, early 70's. He was obviously a fan of the east coast style. Busy rebuilding this car, gonna make a highboy coupe out of it
This is my neighbor, Paul Gangi, at 15 working on his first 32 around 1954 in Massachusetts. He channeled it 6" if I remember what he said correctly. This is the guy that comes over and gives me help, pointers, and history lessons as my build reminds me of things.
Not that old, but... I've got the whitewalls... he got the white timing slip... He ran that '32 - 5 window at Sanford, Me. ... He did 100 mph in 1957, also beat the Nomads ardun powered '40 push truck... go B A go ! . mr. A recently passed don't know the future for the '32... but his tail lights looked good...
Found a couple more pictures of the A Bone Pete Flavin built. Lot of fun driven it for a couple of years. Sold it to Richard Rawlings the Gas Monkey.. anyone seen it lately ?
About 2 years after I bought it from you.. 10k as I recall. I put on new tires and had the upholstery redone....went great.. loved the powerglyde. You built it well ! Did you take any build photos ?
Heres a few..... I named the car the "Golden Shower". Car was built like a brick shit house! A street legal go cart.
That pic with the roadster with the flat head set back from the East Coast,, any idea when that was taken? Cheers
Sebastian Rubbo (sp) 3rd from left drove this car all over and was a fixture at any north east rod run. This was/is a perfect HAMB hot rod. On the far right I think is Rene Archambeau who had a 41 Ford coupe and then a 39 Merc. conv. Pat
