Don't know about the 52 Ford but no problem in a '54 Ford. HRP

Try a Motorcraft FL332 or NAPA Gold 1085

I never ran the fram oil filter that is seen on my engine,it was a free piece and it kept every clean, when I cranked the engine I used a napa gold which I still use them. HRP

The last Fram I had I used on my '84 Chevy wagon and the engine would knock on a cold start up. I looked them up online... eek...and promptly swapped it for a Delco filter.

Thanks for the info. I have used the fram for many years and luckily i haven't had an incident with an oil filter failure.
Based on the question on choosing the oil filter for 302 swap in the 52. I was suggesting the PH16(its a dodge filter) due to its shorty length. I'm sure the part number can be used as a cross reference with another brand.

I believe I heard that this brand is good and has plenty of clearance. Champ PH253
