It has been awhile since I had a car with fenders again . My question is what the difference between the rear fenders and the roadster rear fenders ! Can you have a set of roadster fenders and put them on a sedan with reasonably work ! Or better yet what's the difference ??? Thanks in advance !!

I think sedan bodies are similar or the same out back. Roadster/coupe are the same.

Over at Fordbarn there was a discussion called Roadster / coupe verses sedan fender that clears it up. Basically where the fender mounts to body at back of wheelwell is different. You can cut a coupe fender inside edge to fit sedan or add a narrow strip to sedan fender to fit coupe is what they say.

Yes you can trim the inside flange from a roadster fender until it fits a sedan/phaeton. But a roadster fender is worth more than a sedan, so you might be able to trade up.

Yes . I'm asking about the rear fenders !!! Guess I didn't keep stating that in my post Sorry I'll change that !! The reason I'm asking is I'm not that far yet to change the fenders as I'm working on the doors changing to bear claws and then onto the body work of the body be a couple weeks before I get to that part ! As I received a set of roadster fenders ,just trying to keep my ducks in a row . Thanks

Getting closer on the car I hate to cut these to fit .which is no problem to do as I'd rather trade somebody that needs roadster fenders for a pair of sedans ! But time will tell what I have to do ! As working on it today have both doors with the inside door handles mounts made to work the bear claw latches phaeton 006.jpg phaeton 007.jpg

If you still have the fenders and want to trade for sedan fenders, I might be able to help. I have a set of repro steel fenders from Howell's that we tried to fit to my Cabriolet yesterday...but they don't fit. What I had ordered were the coupe/roadster/cabriolet fenders, which are all the same, but I think what they may have sent were sedan fenders, which would also fit a phaeton. I'm still working to figure out if that is what happened. Let me know if you are still looking. Jerry.
