Air intake at the"C" piller gives away the factory AC. Not many in 53. Guy must have had a flat and not put the skirt back on, never saw one without them.

Car. Was driven by Tony Bettenhausen in 59, JIM mcWithey 60, bobby marshman 61 and bud tingelstad in 62.

edit Tinglestad did not drive this car. He drove the 1961 Epperly Marshamn had driven the 62 500. That was a #54 Bryant Heating car.

Wondering if this is also the car that was at times sponsored by Bryant Heating and Cooling and later by Hoover Motor Express with Sachs up?

Maggie, thanks for your pictures, I get a pleasant feeling for the northwest
over the last century. A much different past than the northeast.
This pic is a hoot. Can you imagine towing that Airstream through the
    snow with a early Falcon?
    Thanks again for your efforts.

I believe that is Louis Tomei after relieving Frank Wearne in the Superior Ind. car 1947.

Some today would have trouble believing that you don't need diesel powered dully with the advanced towing package just to go camping.

  25. Although there are a lot of correct items on this to be an American Underslung, I missed the boat and mis-identified the car. Sorry about that.
