I coerced to of my pals to help me go get this '61 Traveleze last winter on the coldest day of the year, then ended up giving it to one of them, Mike, seen here supervising the one of the tree tire changes made on the way home (!)when my son said he didn't want one that big. It turned out to be a pretty nice old trailer with not much effort. Kids...
I have only a couple that I could find. Apparently I spent too much time working on it and not much time photographing it......... but I still remember the hours and hours that I put into it. All the wood & aluminum sheeting has been replaced. If you want more detailed pictures of it, let me know!
I think this might have been a 1/2 scale styling exercise by Powell Crosley. I can't find any other vintage photos. Does anyone have any photos or know anything about it?

I don't have a picture but, when taking our granddaughter back home form T.N. over to N.C. Sunday.I told my wife to slow down on RT.40 East. There was must of been an OLD air stream trailer. It had only 1 tail light on it {and it was working because it was foggy out}It looked just like it had been pulled out of some ones back yard or garage and there was a girl pulling it in an old chevy truck. The wife said she needs to speed it up and I told her she might of just got it and was taking it home so she had to take it easy. KOOL looking trailer .I wish I had my camara with me.Bruce.
Been working on bringing this one back to life, the past couple months. Getting there, I think there's only a couple weeks more work to do. This is when I bought it. It's a "late model" 1972, but they didn't change appearance too much over the years.
This trailer was owned by a fellow south of Indy who had an A roadster with a flathead. He was in bad health and was trying to sell it. Also had a homemade teardrop if I remember correctly. The bicycle on the back is cool,too. The old fellow made scaled down furniture for it ,also

Hmm, everyone I've talked to says the maintenance isn't that bad, just a quick TouchUp once a year. Ask FlynBrian48 on here ( post 1583 on here) what he does for maintenance. It IS a LOT of work to do the initial polishing. I decided to keep my Boles Aero in raw aluminum finish after looking at the one in "Silver Palaces". I just didn't think the slab sided trailers looked that good polished. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
The initial polish is the most work, and the maintenance is not insignificant. As soon as you stop polishing, the aluminum starts to dull and loose shine. I started polishing my Airstream 4 years ago and haven't stopped, just take extended breaks A coat of wax helps slowdown the oxidation. I bought a cyclo this year and nuvite, it's reported to keep the shine longer. I'll know in the spring how it works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
