Will the FOM bellhousings from 216 or 223 OHV sixes bolt to a 1951 226 cubic inch flathead Ford 6?

Anybody have a factory Ford 226 flat 6 FOM bellhousing they want to sell?

I don't believe the OHV 223 bellhousing will bolt to the flathead 6 but I think a "hogsheads" adapter wil bolt to the flathead bellhousing and accept a side shift 60's and later 3 or 4 speed toploader transmission ( such as found in mustangs etc.) if that's what your trying to do...

Nope. Trying to find a bellhousing so I can put a stock 51 FOM in my 51 Ford flat 6 coupe.

Thanks for the info on the hogs head adapter, though. It MIGHT work for me.

would that be 215? - 223 truck bellhousing.... ? that's 53-64 truck stuff.....do you have the early car flathead which is 1951 down to 1941 ? 1952 up OHV -over head valve car is different as well....

    No,the car 215 or possibly 223 bellhousings.

I have the "H" series 226 flat 6 that was used from 49-51 in both cars and trucks. Since Ford didn't come out with the FOM until 1951,there was never a FOM offered with the earlier "G" series engines.
