Anyone ever bought one of these un***embled roadstet bodies? Looking for difficulty level of putting one together....i appreciate any information you guys have, with either the 30/31 ford model a or the 32 model. I found them on ebay from american muscle. The A is about 5800 and the 32 is 9k. Thank you this HTML cl***. Value is http://m.ebay.com/it
That doesn't do any good. Just post the ebay listing number and we can copy and paste that in the search. That stays reasonably copacetic with the no ebay links thing.
Flop is the guy to talk to: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/11-day-brookville-roadster-build-1930-31.1020077/
Seems too expensive for the amount of work required to ***emble it. Aren't they just slightly more $ for an ***embled one from Brookville?
AM Muscle = sells a lot of sheet metal at interesting prices on Ebay. Photos look like they came right out of the Brookville catalog and there are a couple of builders on on here that ***emble the Brookville bodies from pieces themselves rather than use the completed body. A bit of searching shows that American Muscle Car LLC is that seller and they are dealers for Brookville. Base price on the ***embled boy is 6900 and then you add on the extras https://brookvilleroadster.com/stor...ody/1930-31-roadster-body-for-32-style-frame/
I've never heard of them,I do know the kit's don't come with any wood and you pay the freight, approximately 500 bucks and the quality is unknown. They say the parts are made here in the states,as to the difficulty of ***embly I would think it wouldn't be a problem if you have fabrication skills. HRP ebay link
To answer your question about how difficult, it would seem to me that would depend on your level of skill and your tools on hand. For me, I'd just enjoy the project on hand. For some the 1K bump in price would just make sense to pay it and move on. Let's say a shop rate is $50.oo an hour that's only 20 hours of labor. I probably couldn't do my first one in 20 hours. The other thing to consider is the added shipping costs of the crated Body over the costs of Body panels on a pallet. The Wizzard
I was curious about AM muscle, as well. I've been eying one of their model A floor pan kits, but was hesitant, not having heard much about them. Kit in Question; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Model-...m43c93163ba:m:mXVE7J8J3BFnux6B88fXRzQ&vxp=mtr Sorry for the somewhat related thread jack.
If you need to have it shipped its probably more like $2000-$2500 more as you need to have the body crated for $500 extra and it will probably cost more to ship the crated body that the parts.
I would thing the manufacturers would have tooling to hold everything in alignment while it was being welded. Without the tooling it would be a big job. I would go for an ***embled one. Charlie Stephens
Where to average guy g\would get in trouble here A ***** is building the doors and deck lid. The rest wouldn't be that difficult.
Don't know how good or bad they are, but here is some info. Maybe someone can buy a shipping container full!
You can buy it un ***embled from brookville direct also Model A body would be fairly easy, the 32 becomes a bit more difficult I would buy a kit with the doors and deck lid ***embled
I was under the ***umption that the no Ebay links rule, only applied to the cl***ified section? Maybe I'm wrong.

Tjompen; Do you happen to know the nearest U.S. port to ship into and a rough cost per each photo? The Wizzard
Quarter Panel= 1000 USD. Firewall= 763 USD, but send an e-mail to jocar to get a more accurate answer. e-mail: jonas@jocar.se
I saw his 5 window at the LA Roadster show a few years ago. It looks good. He did say you bought some of the floor parts from Brookville to finish it. None of this is for a guy without a jig and skills.
