Hi all. I signed up a while ago and have found an amazing amount of information on this board. I thought it was time to introduce myself. I live on Vancouver Island in BC. I was a mechanic for 12 years before changing careers but never stopped working on vehicles. I am well over 50. This is my first adventure into old cars/trucks, I have built numerous 4x4's/Rock crawlers. I now am the proud owner of a 53 Ford Victoria. Bought the vehicle totally stripped down to a shell with all the parts in a trailer. Been a fun puzzle. Stock drivetrain. I have spent 6 months on it to get it to this point. Just primered for now. Anyways I am learning alot about the old stuff. Cheers Jeff
Lots of HAMBers on the island. HB32, 29hiboy, dumprat, chevbucket, retrosteel, ss34coupe to name a few.
I thought that was a good possibility when I read your first post, but I didn't think it was right to leave him out of a list of Island HAMbers. Oh yea, better add Duncan too!
Welcome from another Vancouver Islander. Going have to check out your 53 Victoria some day - I have a 53 Ford convertible project - we need to compare notes.
