Yes its true I had a little more time before the swap meet and just did a little spot by hand, and well you can see what happened after that. Electric buffer 3M rubbing compound a little hand polish and WALLA.....Danny Almost forgot: cd unreleast Frank Black
That looks awesome, but what is that big mean looking bear with the dirty T-Shirt doing in your babies room! =)
Now how are you gonna get that rust of the T-shirt? I use Mother's Mag Wheel Polish for removing rust from carbon steel knife blades(works great) and Meguiar's Heavy Oxidation Remover(in the blue bottle for rejuvenating gel coats on fibregl***)for heavily oxidized paint. You have to be careful though 'cause it is really aggressive towards paint.
Ya I came in the house after I was done and my wife chuckled and took a picture, then made me change....
That's probably the best couple hours you've ever spent on a car, isn't it? You just went from "project" to "Driver"! That car will now be at home at any saturday night cruise as a car that's "All orignal...look at the paint worn thru!" instead of a car everyone walk by, or is afraid to get near because the fear getting tetanous. NICE job! -Brad
Heck, that`s ALL I ever use! That high priced **** is just that, high priced! Good old rubbin compound!
Where were you last summer, when I decided to sand the whole car to bare metal because of the surface rust?! Looks good. I'll put this in my little tip file. Tucker
