What?! Rubbing Compound Removes Surface Rust!

    Yes its true I had a little more time before the swap meet and just did a little spot by hand, and well you can see what happened after that. Electric buffer 3M rubbing compound a little hand polish and WALLA.....Danny

Now how are you gonna get that rust of the T-shirt?:D I use Mother's Mag Wheel Polish for removing rust from carbon steel knife blades(works great) and Meguiar's Heavy Oxidation Remover(in the blue bottle for rejuvenating gel coats on fibreglass)for heavily oxidized paint.You have to be careful though 'cause it is really aggressive towards paint.

    That's probably the best couple hours you've ever spent on a car, isn't it?

    You just went from "project" to "Driver"! That car will now be at home at any saturday night cruise as a car that's "All orignal...look at the paint worn thru!" instead of a car everyone walk by, or is afraid to get near because the fear getting tetanous.

    Where were you last summer, when I decided to sand the whole car to bare metal because of the surface rust?! Looks good. I'll put this in my little tip file.
