Anyone ever see any? They clip onto the spokes with springs (5 to be exact). I've the covers on the rare basis, but this suprised me. I just got a complete set and when I looked at the back it had the old Jalopy Journal looking Stewart Warner logo. Rad!

Do tell...Django. I have a set of the Lyons covers and one I was told is Cadillac. The Cadillac is held on by springs too.

Well I finally dug these out of the barn to snap a few pics. No luck on Fordbarn. Seems no one has ever heard of SW brand wheel covers.

  9. Real old thread, so what, very interesting indeed. Wonder how many more sets have been discovered in the last 10 years. Last pic with the covers and the whitewalls on the black cabriolet look absolutely stunning.

I found a pair of SW wheel covers over 10 years ago, and a third cover shortly after. Looking for a fourth one to complete the set if anyone has a single laying around. (the type Django posted)

I just got a set of these Stewart Warner hubcaps. Don’t know if I’m going to run them. They mount on a 16in wire wheel.

Late 30's accessory.....to keep up with all the newer artillery style wheels....and the beloved wide five from Henry ?

I was thinking of powder coating them just for that reason, too look more like an artillery wheel, subtle, instead of the old chrome.

For sure keep the old chrome. As you said, if you paint them they'll look just like a cheap artillary wheel.
