Action girl getting a garage

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by flamedcoupe, Mar 30, 2006.

  1. I may get in trouble for this but Action Girl is selling her townhouse and buying a single family home with a detached garage.I'm going up tomorrow to take a look. I think its about a 20x20. The present owner is selling it for his family estate. He said that he had to clean out the garage and I told Stacey to tell him that we would clean out the garage. He said ok. Stacey said there is a engine crain behind the garage and stuff inside on shelves. I think I'm as excited as she is. I also put white walls on the coupe. Will get her to post some pictures of the garage and the coupe.

I hope it works out for her. Sounds pretty decent.

  3. The cat is outta the bag...

As of this Monday we're officially under contract on a new house. I'm unbelieveably excited by the prospect of going single family after having spent the last 12 years in a townhouse. It will be swell to have all of our scooters, our camper, and Faye living with us for a change, instead of at other locations like dear ol' Dad's (which is a 40 minute drive).

The house is an adorable all-stone cape cod that was built in 1952. It was the builder's model home and is the only house like it in the neighborhood. It has hardwood floors, 3 bedrooms and a finished basement with a tacky bar and lots of black velvet art (bonus!).

It's on just shy of a 1/2 acre and is on a shady lot in a quiet established neighborhood. There's a gazebo, and a big garage which has parking for one car, and then a large workshop that would hold 2 more cars if there were two more garage doors. It has an attic large enough to walk around in, with a set of doors that go to the outside if I wanted to chuck something out of the attic, or fit a pulley to raise something upstairs. We'll have room in there for Faye, and then plenty of room for our 5 scooters and space to work on them.

The best part is that it's just a mile and a half from where I live now which will making moving easy, and I'll get to stay in this area that I love so much. We close on May12th.

I'm having the home inspection tomorrow and will take a few pics when I'm there.

    :D :D :D :D :D

If only you lived closer, I'd move in with Faye! She rocks my world! I love a girl with neat wiring under the hood! :D

Congrats on your home. I keep telling myself some day I'll get out of my townhouse and into a place I can invest in...and build a garage larger than the house! Sounds like you got the best house on the black. I mean, black velvet? That's class right there! :D

  7. Yeah, well moving is never easy... We had new floors the entire house and had to put everything in a POD in the driveway... still a P.I.T.A.

Action Girl is getting a HOUSE...

...FAYE is getting a garage!!!:)

Congratulations to both Stacey AND Faye!!!

  14. Congrats!

Buying a place in this part of the country is a major milestone-- they're not making any more real estate in the metro DC/Balto area.

And having your own garage is great- when you have insomnia, you can go out in the garage and work in your pajamas... with a beer in one hand! :)

  15. Nicely done Stacy...even though you don't remember me, hey, congratulations. I hope to have a tacky bar of my own someday, decorated in cheap black velvet art too, of course.

Hey Uncle Will, if you find any '40 Ford rear fenders in that dude's garage, hook a brother up. Whitewalls on the coupe? Send me a picture, old man.

  17. Chris if I find anything for a Forty consider it as coming to you. I'll get Stacey to post some pictures on the HAMB. The coupe really looks good with WWW. I guess the Halibrands will sit in the attic in the garage for a while.

    Congrats, that is really awesome...
Glad to see things going well... Faye has a new heart and now a new home...

  19. So the coupe's in steelies and whitewalls? They'd better be red, or you can't be cool. Of course, you have that #3 on the back window, so maybe "cool" is outta the question :D

Halibrands in the garage attic? That makes two old farts I know stashing the good stuff up a flight of stairs. Sounds to me like you're trolling for offers...lemme check my pockets...I have $2.32 on me right now. You'd want more than that just to slap me for having a smart mouth.

Brandon needs to take a step back... Look at the crap you 've posted...

i would suggest going to see an opthamologist, not too scare you but whenever i have any problems with my eyes i go see him, just in case.

at least i have my early times too talk to.

    is thomas magnum in here?

    a bump for luck:D

    wait,who's rockin'?

whoa whoa whoa, did i see some negative comments regarding mustaches?

    Hey-O!!:D

    wow.

    what?who?......

    wth??why?:confused::rolleyes:

nothing better than a good ole game of butts and weiners....

Now shut up, we're happy that Action Girl got a garage..... You need to worry about yourself and the drivel you're posting, worry about actually getting a car, or are you more worried about getting more tattoo's first?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

  24. Z-man is my hero... :D

As for you "whiskeybarrels" STFU and get out in your garage and build something! Then maybe you can share your new found wisdom with the rest of us. I love how A-hole FNG's are always the first to pipe up and police the board all the while CONTRIBUTING NOTHING.

My Dad was excited, and had every right to share news on this board with our friends. He almost never posts, and when he does it rarely off topic. He could have done a lot worse (as the incredibly useless crap you post shows).

I might be a lil ol' girl but i'll totally kick your ass if you start retarded shit like that again. My Dad is the shit, dig?

Now resist the urge to make a further ass of yourself and go build something cool and earn our respect. Last time I checked that's how things worked around here.

    Stacey
