Well, I'll have to wait and see next year. Hmm, now I just sit and wait for pics. I prefer to work outside and this rain is killing my progress too. Later

Yep, me too in the stay at home crew. I have been to all four previous Round-Ups, once driving out with Brewsir in his old Batfink F-100. You all have fun and i agree, we need to get serious and have a fun drive from nor-cal area with a bunch of us road tripping.

I drove down south congress this morning on my way to work... It's already a scene...

Wish I could communicate in type how incredible this event always is. If ya gotta scratch every event off your list next year and only make this one, it will be worth it... There is nothing like it.

  15. You really know how to rub it in don't you. To make it worse, since I went last year you don't need to communicate how much I'm going to miss it this year. Already saw pics last night from Reggie's and South Austin and now I'm sitting here working when I should be out cruisin' on the Friday Crawl.

    GGrrrrrrrr!

    Next year for sure!

Got woke up with a phone call last night from Rocky. He and our other brother Mark (who was in Omaha on business) decided to hit the Roundup! They were "somewhere in Missouri" when they called, planning to drive straight through to Austin, jangle at the event, then drive straight back to Omaha on Sunday night. ********! (except they're driving Rockys beater Porche - be on the lookout for two Fear and Loathing types in a crusty Blitz Black Porche with bright green pinstriping all over it. Interior looks like rabid tigers lived in it for a year) I should be with them, but my new job screwed that up.
Hey T-bag, you got a new job too?! Now that's news! Do tell...
Anyway, I'll post anything newsworthy here, if I ever hear from them again (ie - I'll be asking you all to chip in for bail money)...

  25. Damn! Thats cool Scotty! Keep us posted on those two.

My new gig is television ad sales exec for Young Broadcasting. They own our regional CBS affiliate. I cover mostly western Sodak.

TV ad sales executive, eh? You probably kick *** at that. I've also bailed out of the hot rod business (for the moment) and taken a truck driving job. Something to be said for steady pay and benefits...

Talked with the guys as they pulled out of Dallas (they stopped for gas in some ghetto neighborhood and had to make a hastey retreat, frying rubber all the way - no explanation why), then again a few minutes ago from Austin. They're dead tired and lost, but they made it there. They were illegally parked in front of the Alamo, mumbling gibberish about how the Flyrite Choppers guys managed to put the Alamo right in the middle of the street, obscuring their view of any hot rods to be seen, etc. Rocky went on an insane rant about how he would get his ****** revenge, but I couldn't understand much of it. Mark was only speaking in mono-syllables, which were all pretty disconnected. So yeah, sounds like they're doing fine and it's business as usual for those guys. More news as it trickles in...

Yeah, Rocky called from Congress St. last night. Couldn't hear him too well over all the open headers, cat-calling, lopey cams, etc. Sounded like he was making his way through an ocean of people. Mainly, it sounded like I missed a helluva good time - I'm cryin' my eye off...At least my brothers had fun. Now they just have to turn around and drive back to Nebraska - if they survive today (remember, these guys have been strapped behind the wheel since Friday afternoon, without any sleep)...

  29. Yeah, and there is some nasty weather between Austin and Omaha. Thats ok, Der ******* is stealthy!

  30. ditto for me on this year maybe next year. since I am cubs fan I get used to saying that.
