No Ray , it's a company from Ricmond Hill , a section of Toronto. Here's the other 1/2, I didn't post it 'cause it was a fuzzy pic...

    O.k...here's another from me.

This one resides in the private Zekanis collection.

It was done with one shot on a cleared piece of wood cut to the shape of a tiki. I left the natural woodgrain show through...cause, hey its supposed to be a tiki right? hehe.

Anyhow its an oldy but a goody. I think I did this one about two years ago.

Its about time to do another!

  10. roadapple, I'm always a fan. Hang in there and pace yourself. What needs to get done, always does.

  11. Hidden, I sent you an email asking if you wanted in on the show, still love to have you. These posters are just the rough drafts. In fact all the artists names are not on it. Johnny Ace is missing and a few others. Just rough drafts!!!!

This is what i did this week. Painted "old" race stickers on a T-bird.
I made it look like it was as old as the 30year old paintjob.
Then the owner went down to the "horse" racetrack in town and tested it out.

I recently aquired a stack of old National Geographics from the 40's and 50's simply to steal all the old auto advertising. I love the days before photography was used. Illustrators were busy back in the day! If anybody likes these types of old advertising illustrations, I'll post some really nice '55 Chevy ads next week.

HOLY SHIT inkslinger, that is impressive as hell!

    They really look old.

Fake patina is GREAT....only if you can't tell its fake. That sir is a masterpiece of fakery. I totally DIG it! :)

...........outstanding art, outstanding artists! One artist not here this week is "Vorhese." I have always liked his stuff. It's clean, fresh and unique. I contacted Jason a couple months ago. I inquired as to the availablity of his art. We agreed upon a commission. I received it a couple weeks back and I am, once more, BLOWN AWAY!!! I'm no art critic and only know what I like, but I love his work. Simple yet complex. I love the quirky characters, the unusual backgrounds and the colors that the art is crafted in. My piece is awesome and even comes in it's own matching sleeve (HIGH quality!) to protect it until I can get it mounted.
Thanks again Jason and TRY to be well!
