Has anyone ever used a 76-77 chevy nova front clip on a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere? If so, do you have any pictures? Thanks
Why would you do that when there are plenty of other, much better choices? I understand its different when you HAVE something versus what you might need to get. But, what are you trying to achieve with a 40-year old Chevy design that you couldn't achieve on your OEM front end? - EM
I rebuilt the front end on my old 55 ply, and it worked nicely? Why clip it? Not hating; rather wondering.
I replaced the kingpins, cut the coils & remounted the shocks outboard a ways. They drive good that way as long as the idler arm is kept tight ...
...someone please explain to me (talk slowly, I'm getting older....) what makes folks think these damned shiverlay parts are so superior to MaMopar? If you have the skill set to actually do the swap then, in your search for background info (knowledge), you would have already found out that the Gen I Dakota is a better fit. .
Yeah, like these dudes said, the stock stuff is good once rebuilt. Once you do the shock thing and disc brakes it's really just as good as the clip you're thinking about putting in. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
One of the guys in town bought a 53-54 Plymouth with a nova stub. Was a very nice car and he loved the way it drove. Was a bright orange two door sedan and it sat nice and low...Sorry, no photos And yes, it had a small block chevy drivetrain. Jus sayin
