OK, not really an update, more of a teaser.
Had been trying to figure out a tailight treatment other than the big round "pope hat" stockers and then I saw a picture of a '61 Dodge Polara, and the angels started singing and sun shone all around...

Seriously though as luck would have it tailfin here on the HAMB had a nice pair for sale in the classifieds and themoose was nice enough to do a quickie photoshop for me.

    Soooo... Whadaya think?

While I do really like the stock taillights, I've gotta say the '61 Polara taillights would be a pretty slick treatment!

Looks like the brakes on this have been rebuilt. Drums look clean shoes look unused. New dual master and booster arrives next week and should get it stopping. So far so good.

Great idea on those taillights; frankly, they look better on the Buick than they did on the Dodge!

I'm working on my 1960 Invicta convertible that I'll be converting to an open drive. Would you be willing to share how the rear suspension was modified in your car to go to an open drive ? By the way, it looks like you're doing a great job. Thanks for posting .

60 buick (2).png 60 Buick.png If anyone is interested this on is for sale Graham Wa. The phone numbers on the sign are good and it has been sitting for about 4 months. The gentleman who live there must not know about Craigs list or the internet as I have been looking to see if it is listed anywhere. It's not.

Stealing a play out if the Hub Harness playbook. Should give a nice transition for the Polara taillights (after I shorten them abou 5 inches).

OK, may have freaked some of ya' ll out with the previous photo. This should make you feel better[emoji6]
Cut out the mounting flange and poked the bucket through the back. Give a better idea of overall proportions.

It's an after market bought off Ebay. 8" dual diaphram booster. Most retailers sell them.
Installation was pretty straight forward. Had to slightly enlarge the mount holes.

  26. I have some '60s Fairlane bucket seats. If you want to pay for shipping, they're yours. Oh, I just saw the date of your post. Oh well, if you still need them, let me know.
