I'm looking for someone to cut a windshield and back glass for my chopped 32 3 window fiberglass coupe. I live need Daytona Beach and would like to have someone close by if possible. Thanks Don
check your telephone book yellow pages. with all the hot rods around Daytona there has to be some listed
Fiberglass coupe, they just use plexiglass windows. That's easy to cut with a jig saw. Or look up some streetrod shops near you, they specialize in glass cars. I bet there is even glass kits you can buy from like wescott body's and so forth. I'm sure there is someone close by to you as Daytona is a big city.
Also if you make a poster board copy of the windows a lot of hardware stores that cut glass will be able to do it for you. Here in California my local hardware store carriers automotive lament glass for flat car glass. Even green glass too. Good luck
I don't think Plexiglass or polycarbon is legal, I wish it was that stuff is cheep and I have a CNC router that I can cut it on. Thanks Don
I have called several auto glass and glass companies in the area and don't cut laminated glass, Thanks Don
You need to make your own patterns. All glass cars are slightly different so there is no one size fits all. After you have the patterns there are tons of glass shops online that can cut and ship the glass to you.
I asked a FB buddy who has a shop outside of Daytona and he said he uses Jesse's Tri City Auto glass in Tavares quite a bit.
I can't seem to find Acme Windshield and glass in Daytona. The Yellow Pages listing shows a number which I will try in the morning. Thanks Rust Runner for the listing I did find the listing for Jesse's Tri City and will call them in the morning as well. and thanks Mr 48Chevy for that listing I'm down to just a couple things before getting the 32 registered and titled. I have been working on it for a little over a year and have been able to drive it around the yard. Thanks for all the help Donald Clifton
