Just thought I'd start a thread on the build of my 54 . Ive had the car since I was 16. Been working on it on and off over the years. I've had a lot of distractions and other projects get in the way but now I'm focused on getting her back in the road again. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Nice car! I sold my last 54 but will do another at some time. We had a tongue in cheek group on here about 53/4s called Rockstars with Torquewrenches (long story). If you search the term Rockstar, lots of related threads will pop up.
Great job on both the body and chassis. I like it, what motor and transmission are you going to use? Also what other modifications are you going to perform? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks a lot! I've got a warmed over 283 and a Muncie and that will be hooked to the 55 Chevy rear end that I put a posi in. My plan is to get it back together and drive it in primer for awhile. I will French the headlights and taillights nose and deck it, and add some more teeth to the grill. I'm thinking of painting it dark blue Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Oh you're very welcome [emoji4] . I love that you're painting it dark blue, reminds me of the LaJolla that Harry Bentley Bradley built in the late '50s. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Sweet! Very nice chop and workmanship. Keep it up ! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Great job on your 54! Subscribing to follow your progress. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Me and Rusk had a chuckle about this the other day! It still lives on! And nice car OP thanks for posting so many pics!
I used a DuPont primer. It's URO 1380s. I like it a lot it has a nice sheen to it and you can see the body work flaws easily. I have a SATA KLC RP With a 1.8 tip for shooting primer. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Very cool ! You've got a lot of the work finished so far, once you complete it you'll have one "Monster Machine" ! Kool Kustom, my friend !! (NOTE: If you want to eliminate your back-up lights, Gene Winfield can supply you with a pair of "bubble lights" that will work perfectly.) Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net
