Hi guys and gals, I'm working on a 52 chev 2 dr that the customer installed a Camaro diff in. He neglected to take into account the alignment pin hole. Does anyone know the measurement from center of that alignment hole? I know it is to the front of center but how much? I did a search and couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance...
Searches I did said 1 1/2. I did 1 1/4. That was using a 55 rear housing. To me it looks right. When a larger tire is installed it may be off. Time will tell.
1-1/2 inches forward and 1/2 inch inward has been the "standard" for as long as I remember. It's the measurement we used installing a 56 Chevrolet rear end into our 51 Chevrolet Business Coupe. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
