Event Coverage A Call Out to ALL Altered Wheelbase Cars!

This is a call out for all altered wheelbase (AWB) cars. With the blessing of the Meltdown Drags ***n. I would like to invite any and all altered wheelbase cars to the 2015 Meltdown Drags at Byron Dragway, in Byron, Ill on July 17, 18 & 19. I want to get the call out early so you can prepare and get your stuff together well in advance. Can you imagine the frenzy and buzz in the social media, print media, etc. when we get a huge number of these fantastic cars in one place? There were just over a half dozen AWBs at the Meltdowns this year. I know there are a few dozen more out there. If you haven't heard of the Meltdowns, please Google it, check them out on Facebook, Youtube, here on the HAMB, their website, etc. Like the HAMB Drags, this is event not to be missed. I'll keep the call out very simple: any AWB car 1966 or earlier. Each car for the Meltdowns has to be approved by the Metldown Drags ***n., so it won't be me saying yea or nay. People would love to see dozens of these types of cars lined up to run the 1/4 mile. The cars can be famous, restored, new build, old build, whatever. Just remember it has to be "period correct" and fit into the spirit of the Meltdown Drags. Please help me get the word out to all the AWB cars out there. If you are planning to attend next year, start posting here and planning your trip. There were cars from coast to coast, north to south and Canada at this race. God willing, I'll be there in mine. Let's make it the largest gathering of AWB car s in decades! Now, go get the word out!!! Thanks
