It be my BirFday --pics--

    It's my birthday today and I bought myself a present. It's a 1947 Ford 1.5 ton, dual rear wheel with a 2 speed rear end and a flathead V8. Took it down the road today, it's was fun to drive. The guy i bought it from updated the brakes and replaced every piece of wire on it. It should make a nice car hauler.

    Neato. Can you post a pic of th 2 speed rear? I've never seeen one up close.

    It's held onto the bracket with a metal strap. It's a fairly common conversion when converting to a 12v system. I'd rather have the original generator on it though.

    That strap looks the same as later generator mounts with the strap. Come to think of it, that looks like a later mill.
