My pickup is finally at the painters so I need to line up a few of the last purchases for the project. Bedwoodandparts.com looks to have everything I need for the original bed. Or is there better sources? I have no idea where to start to buy the wide whites for my 15" (5" & 6"wide) steel wheels. The car won't meet the criteria as traditional so radials are fine. What are my possibilities?
I want to give Jeff Major and Bed Wood a Giant Thumbs up I put there kit in my Dodge 6 years ago. It's been Great and when I had questions during the ordering process I was able to talk directly with Jeff, not to many companies were you call and talk to the owner! Great Service Highly Recomended!
For the bed in the 52 GMC I had some flawless red oak planks I acquired a few years back so a little triming and some very expensive stain sealer that has been on for summer winter that worked great and I made my own steel strips. Kits ****. Tools and knowledge are cheaper.
post pics of truck - Coker Tires has a location in SoCal - also look at callitw.com, whitewalltires.com, lucascl***ictires.com
The fellow that previously owned my El Camino laid out the bed in ASH wood then lightly tinted the polyurethane with blue that matched the car. Draws a lot of positive comments Do it!
Here's how it went to the body shop. I lengthened frame 5 inches and the body 3 inches in the doors and 2 inches in the side panels.
Now this is the kind of feedback I need: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/coker-dirt-track-tires-cured-my-wobble.1027270/
