I have a 1950 Ford F3 with a 239 v8. I am trying to figure out the correct nut size for the power post on the starter. It seems as if there are no thread count that will fit it. Does anyone know the correct sized but and thread count?

  3. Stud should be 5/16 fine thread. That is a Copper post so over tightening it is common thus damaging the threads.

    Should be 5/16-18 or 5/16-24
Unless someone used a goofy post.
