    All --

I just added Cars and Clubs a regional hot rod magazine from '58 to '59 and published in Minneapolis. I'm still missing one cover.

Jeez, Louise! I can't believe I missed this thread. What dedicaton! Thanx so much for your web site / work.
On another note, if anyone happens to have a complete set of R&C models + the 2 issues of both R&C and Models for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know. As a high school kid at that time, and a model builder, I'd have to pick one of those issues with the Monogram Big Deuce in 1/8th scale on the cover as my favorite, but I don't have any to refer to at the moment. Thanx again, Gary

I just uploaded Drag Racing magazine (1964-1969). And will now work on Drag Racing USA (1970 to 1975).
Next in the queue - Hot Rod Parts Illustrated and Drag Parts Illustrated. These are hard to find, so please share if you have any of them!!
I sure do appreciate the information, web links and cover images you all have been sending. And I appreciate your recommendations for other ***les you'd like to see me tackle.

Speed & Automotive Equipment Advertiser was the forerunner to Hot Rod Parts Illustrated and then to Drag parts Illustrated. The earliest issue I have is Vol 2 #1 March 1, 1963. The magazine was published twice a month on the first and fifteenth. img469.jpg

June 1948 with Ed Iskenderian and his roadster is a good one. February 1954 with Chistsman Bros Coupe is the best in my opinion.

  15. Whichever one had Barbara Huffman on the cover. There may have been a car. I don't remember that part. 1956-1957

I did not know that Barbra Huffman (Eden) made the cover of HRM. I know she was a NHRA trophy queen.

Sometime in 1964 HOT ROD PARTS ILLUSTRATED became a monthly magazine. Here is February, 65 issue. img480.jpg

Sometime in 1967 the name changed to DRAG PARTS ILLUSTRATED. I have never seen issues past 1969, so I think that was its final year. img481.jpg

  19. Here is a pic of that Deuce sedan at the Flywheels auto show in Braintree M*** in 1963. The car is still around and in great shape. FlywheelsClubCar.jpg

The sedan was owned by Johnny Otis, from Braintree, MA. I think someone in Iowa owns it now. I saw it in California at CHRR a few years back, still looks like the cover of Car Craft 1963.
