Have you seen all 201 pages of this thread? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/coe-picture-thread-imported-from-main-board.997663/ then there is Willysbills site. http://ozroddingindex.altervista.org/INDEX.html then some YouTube. That should keep you busy for an evening. LOL
I don't have a build thread, but here are a couple of what I'm working on. Only the door skins front sheet metal and half the top are original, the grey/green stuff is all home made.
Was this previously a tanker truck for a fire dept? Sent from my SM-J100VPP using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
It started out life as a Gulf fuel delivery truck, then became a water wagon for the North Canton, Connecticut Fire Dept. I found it on a farm where it had hauled water for livestock. The wood cab structure was pretty far gone when I got it, so I've built a complete new steel framework to mount the original and new panels on. I needed the sleeper to cover the engine, which is an oddball for a hot rod truck, 6v53T Detroit Diesel
What did you do with that huge tank? It would make one first-rate Bbq smoker... Sent from my SM-J100VPP using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I live a thousand miles from where I found the truck, so all I brought home was the cab and front fenders. I had no need for the rest of the truck and it would have been too expensive to haul what was basically scrap iron a thousand miles.
Here's what I'm currently watching and taking notes on: https://lowdownhotrods.smugmug.com/What-weve-done/Current-Projects/COE-Project/i-Nv6NT2f JML
