Kept the A front cross member and sold most of the rest of it for around $1500. Paid for a 32 grille & shell, 682c headlights, front spring and put money towards my windshield frame. I am doing a partial swap on the windshield frame for my sectioned 32 grille and shell.

[IMG]windshield frame I'll use. It helps with my rust issues on my cowel allowing me to avoid fabing the windshield swage on the cowel.

[IMG]i gotta say this shell and insert are pretty nice. Just a shame it has been sectioned and won't work for the look I'm after.

At this stage I'm taking 6 customline and mainline rims, 8 x 1933-34 wires, 2 x d5 dodge headlights, 32 grille and shell, 26 t dash, 48-52 ford truck bonnet all to ballarat swap that have already sold. And bringing home a 32 closed cab cowel, 682-c headlights, so-cal winshield frame, navarro tripple manifold with carbs, two front springs and what ever i can find at the swap meet!

Your doing a fantastic job with the roadster.
It must be great having all that gold in the bush! Saving every part possible is a great way to finance the build. I started out in a similar situation years ago, but finding the gold is now near impossible here in New England.
I'm here for the ride to the end.

Great strides, Adrian! ...and great progress in your fabbing ability...
That '32 just may be up on wheels in no time. Do you have an 'axle dropper' there? That '33-'36 axle would be a good candidate!

There are a couple of fellas here that can drop my axle. Just want to get it a little more mocked up first. Don't want to get too far ahead of my self. Glad to see i still have people checking in on my build. It's been a good reference for me to realise how things are slowly coming together, and motivate me to cut more deals to get the roadster rumbling down the road.

The rusty gold is still pretty hard to find and i am traveling further every time i go out on the hunt. I think the funniest part is when i go to the service station to get fuel (with a load) and get remarks about going to the tip or scrap metal yard... cracks me up! I always ask if they have seen any around and try getting leeds. I figure if there weren't people with this "it's rubbish" attitude, i wouldn't have the 32!

  11. Congratulations on all the re-sales. If your selling that much stuff it must be a sign that there are lots of projects being built . Are your buyers hotrodders or restorers ? Is this stuff going to the city or staying in your area ? The way your going one of these days you will find a veteran car tucked away in an old shed. Don,t forget to look up as well. My oldest find ever was a very early little veteran Renault 2 seater dismantled up in an attic.

Most of the parts i sell to hot rodders in the cities, but pretty much no real set group. Old, young and everyone in between. I probably should tap into the restorer side a little more but to be honest i have found restorers are willing to pay less and are often after premium quality, where as rodders don't seem to mind modifying parts or panels to fit. alot of the parts end up going up to the top end of Australia. It's more of a tropical climate up there. Meaning alot of the early stuff is too rusty.
