He later had a 65 Vette that I remember when he lived in Fairfield. Maroon with gold leaf. Always ran Edgewater and Tri State.

Great shots. My Dad's '54 daily driver had the same hard top.

Cool pictures of Apricot Brandy. I had read a number of years ago (maybe 10 years ago) that it had been found. I have not read anything since that comes to mind. Was a cool old racecar hopefully it was saved.

  5. just read that the other day, but the guy posting looking for it (on a corvette forum) started the post in '09, and never came back on to say anything other than it was found in '09

Maybe I read something on the Corvette forum years ago. With such a great car I would have thought if it really was found then it would have surfaced by now in some of the print media etc.

Very interesting looking 1953-55. Do you have any info about it?

Photo date is interesting as well.

Pretty cool hot rod carcruse. Now if had a 301 cid inline 6 cylinder with a muncie someone may believe it was Apricot Brandy that was just parked in a shed. I still like the car and hopefully it will be "restored" as a hot rod. Wonder what the price is that the seller has in mind?

It's a little over 34,000 right now. Would look a lot better with a wash job, but not bad the way it is.

Loudbang that is Sam Cunningham out of Texas. He won class at Indy in 67 (DM/SP) with his small block 61. He ran that same car later in both gas and altered. Here are a couple other pictures of it. You can see it behind Hayseed and see the quality of the car somewhat. Then the second one is at Indy, I Cunningham-3.jpg Cunningham v ReinfordBrosIndy9-66-1.jpg have a date of 1966 but not sure of that.

Just curious, what does the backward K mean on the purple and white car? I know it's meaning in baseball.

I was wondering if it was a rookie designation? But why use a K?
