after pondering my original brake set up over and over I'm wondering if there's any body who's done a cheap disc swap in the front without buying super $ prefabbed parts.I guess what I'm looking for is a list of junkyard parts to make a decent safe setup if its possible, any help would be greatly appreciated

You can use 80 AMC Concord rotors with a bearing change, and a 3/8" spacer behind the inner bearing for the seal to ride on. Then a 3/8" steel plate adapter for GM calipers.

I did an ECI kit in my 52' I got it from yogi's for $90 I think regularly it runs about $189. Then use ranger rotors and metric gm calipers looks like a good setup to me.
