been wanting to build one of these ! i know the 4 wheel trailers are better & safer & got one ! but had one years ago and it towed really good ! thought about using a torsion bar set-up-really low & with a tilt bed or smaller flip ramps, big 2 -5/16 ball, anybody got any ideas or pics of some they seen or maybe somebody -good on cad could design one for me ?-just thought one would be neat at a cruise nite or picking up a parts car somewhere close ? thanks
Been using this one for well over 20 years. No ramps, it tilts. Mobile home axle and wheels. A single axle trailer will tow fine as long as the weight is distributed right. Another benefit is they are very easy to move around. Same trailer and car many years ago....
Hopefully you're running lowboy tires instead of mobile home tires. Most mobile home tires are legal for use only on mobile homes (stamped right on the tire) and regardless of the legality don't hold up for day to day use from my experiences. There is a reason that mobile home transport trucks have so many spare trailer tires on the rack in the bed of the truck.
I hope it doesn't have "Mobile Home" tires too. They are not legal for trailer use and if you have a problem caused by a tire blow out you can be held liable.
I thought about using a boat trailer as the base and build a tilt tire track platform on it still in the thinking about it stage but am collecting parts. I need one for my altered. just my thoughts andopinion
