That rear door is amazing, I wish coach builders today would make a raising hatch on the rear instead of a swinging door. There's always 3 guys getting squished between a casket and the rear door while loading or unloading. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yeah, obvious they use it as a prop for the hatch but still a wierd looking thing, must of had some other use once??? Hard to tell from the pics but has the wheelbase been stretched as well? Looks to me like the front of the rear wheel lip doesn't go into the rear door like a normal 4 door does. I think there was a lot of work went into building it.
So they narrowed the trunk opening by about a foot on each side and made it blend with the original stainless from the rear window. Then had to modify the aluminum trim behind the tail-lights, pretty clever.
