Anyone have a 57 ford fairlane tube grill for a mild custom. or know a place that remakes these.. I'm looking for one for my car to customize the grill.. Just want one that looks nice and is in good shape with nice chrome.. Please let me know.. Thanks alot!!! I'm sure someone here knows, this site rocks!
The most popular has always been the Glory Grills model. Goto www.customgrills.com for all the info. I think the turn around is 2-3 weeks. I picked up a grill from Gene Winfield about 6 years ago. He told me it was '55/'56 Plymouth. No clue of which model, or if it really is out of a Plymouth. All I know is that it fit. Not as long as the factory, but for what I paid compared to the Glory Grills' price, I'm cool with that. Here is a frontend shot of my '57.
These aren't too hard to make. No magic about welding stainless steel either. In fact, with a little creativity you could JB Weld stainless studs into holes drilled in the back side of the tubing and bolt that to a vertical piece of stainless angle that holds the horizontal tubing and also bolts to the grille opening. Make the grille. Dis-assemble. Polish. Assemble. Install. Enjoy....
