Does anyone know of a distributor or manufacturer that makes a solid copper head gasket for the old GM brand straight 8's? The only ones I can find are made by best gasket mfg and they're not copper. One side is copper only. Egge, Kanter and Pontiac Parts all use the same one from best mfg which is not as the name implies. I have checked 3 and they all have different thicknesses. Thanks Bob in so cal with a leaky head on a 48 Pontiac streamliner straight 8. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
You'll have to create a CAD drawing of it and send to one of the companies that makes them. I have done this for several proprietary copper gaskets I have designed for some inline engines. Otherwise they will hit you with a design fee and drive the cost up considerably. Copper head gaskets can often require some "special" attention that composition gaskets don't need. Why are you needing copper?

Flatout Gaskets here in Illinois. They do custom copper gaskets all day. Very nice work. May even have your pattern. www.flatoutgroup.com
