I am going to start work on my grandfather's 1936 Studebaker in the next couple of months. It is a 4 door Dictator. It will be staying a 4 door because of the family connection with the car and I will not be chopping it. I'm wanting to see some customized mid 30's 4 door cars. I'm looking for ideas on how the car will look when done. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah it looks like a car that sat in a field for 35-40 years. My plans are to fix it mechanically and get it running but after that I'm not 100% sure what else I want. tapatalk_1486483935420.jpeg

nothing like a good challenge - whatever you do with it make it as safe and reliable as possible - including some hop up work on motor.

This is the basic plan. I'm doing an engine swap to a Ford 289, t5, 8" rear. And maybe a mustang 2 front. Haven't decided factory front axle or not. Kinda depends on what it is going to take to fix it. The car was originally green. I'm thinking of a dark midnight blue. But haven't decided yet for sure on the color.

Looks like it could become a nice moon shine runner.

I've thought about that, I already have the Ford parts. So that was why I have decided to go that route

I have seen your car in person. Make it safe and reliable and LEAVE it ALONE[emoji844] It's a great car just the way it is, please do not change it.
