We are building a Hotrod on 32 Ford rails. It's a 5 Window Coupe actually an Oldsmobile body with a rocket power plant. We are little perplexed on what tire and wheel combination we should use as far as size goes, height, 20161227_152323.jpg 20161227_152323.jpg rim size etcetera. I would love some suggestions to get the right look and perhaps pictures of your car to go along with the sizes you chose. Thank you!!!!

The engine says mid 50's to me, so consider what would have been popular in the mid 50's for wheels and tires. If it has Ford pattern, '50 Mercury wheels and caps would look nice with 7.10-15 rear and 6.70-15" front. If it has the Olds 5" pattern, then 50's Buick wheels would be the ticket. They were popular because they were slightly wider than the cheaper car wheels. In fact, quite a few Ford guys welded Ford centers into Buick hoops to gain the extra width. 03-31-15 007.jpg

My car has 6.50-16" tires in the rear and 6.00-16" in front, but I was going for a late 40's look. The time period you're hoping to emulate with your car will tell you what wheels and tires would be best to run. That, and your bolt pattern.
